Colton Shufelt, born and raised in Houston, Texas, is an attorney with Taylor Twining focusing his practice on insurance defense litigation. Licensed in 2017, Mr. Shufelt brings a well-rounded perspective shaped by experience on both the Plaintiff and Defense sides of civil litigation.

Prior to joining Taylor Twining, Mr. Shufelt represented parties in personal injury and construction defect matters, gaining extensive experience in case development, liability analysis, and damages evaluation. Mr. Shufelt takes pride in the work he puts in and will go the extra mile to ensure that his clients receive the best representation possible. He believes the foundation of any successful attorney-client relationship is built on open and honest communication, and understands that his clients have put their trust in him to handle their case with the utmost care and professionalism. Mr. Shufelt graduated from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas with a major in Criminal Justice in 2013 before graduating from South Texas College of Law, where he developed a strong foundation in advocacy and trial preparation.  Following a number of successful trials and arbitrations, Mr. Shufelt earned recognition as a Top 40 under 40 Civil Litigator in Texas for 2025 by the National Trial Lawyers Association.

In his free time, Mr. Shufelt enjoys playing sports such as basketball and golf, as well as traveling and spending time with his family.
